Being Is a Non-Being Is Not
Being is what is primary. And being is a non-being is not. We can't sort of confuse the two of them. The thing that becomes is not what it becomes and when it becomes something it ceases to be what it was. Parmenides proposes his hyalomorphic theory in order to account for the possibility of becoming. So we need to deny non-being and thus becoming and just affirm that everything is being.
