The Large Hadron Collider
particle accelerators are machines designed to accelerate sub atomic particles like electrons or protons to high velocities. Smashing these sub atomic particles together after accelerating them releases intense heat, with some experiments producing temperatures a billion times greater than those at the core of the sun. To give you an idea of how massive the large hadron kollider, or l h c, is, n in circumference, it is 27 kilometers, or 17 miles.
