The Importance of Memory Management in C++

Rust has very nice readable syntax, etc. But the idea of being a human garbage collector makes me feel like I'm stuck in that same world as in C++. This actually takes us down a bit of a wobbly path around my feelings on garbage collection,. And I controversially sought for some time that we might ultimately recognize that as a mistake also. The compiler is not doing a great deal to help you remember that you must free something necessarily.
