There's absolutely no evidence, and I've looked into this, that Soviet leaders from Lenin onwards claimed that the country they were leading was a workers' paradise. So I wondered where did this come from and why was it so pervasive? And all you have to do is Google workers' paradise, Soviet Union, and tons of stuff come up. This dim, distant future was held out there as an objective. The end point of history might be a workers’ paradise, but is it a description of reality? No.
