But I would have a lot more sympathy if the letter had had a clear apology, both for the serious breach of the ministerial code and for the way he responded to journalists in the summer. It just so happens that still on Rishi Sunak's front bench, he has the Deputy Prime Minister whose face the allegations are bullying.
