The Paths to Stable Angina and Non ST Elevation MI
There are two groups of patients that can be differentiated here as soon as possible. There are patients with acute chest pain and persistent, more than 20 minutes, that is of ST segment elevation. And therefore, they're into the STEMI category. Now if they don't have an ST elevation MI, they will fall into one of the two middle pathways. But now we're left with the two paths in the middle, aren't we? So these are patients that do not have ST elevation but may well still have some ECG changes.
