Movie Review - Valkyrie
Willard is definitely not your typical hero but more someone who's kind of broken on the inside in some way he's divorced from his wife. In that opening scene he's just kind of waiting in in this sort of purgatory space going mad and basically waiting for another mission. He reminds me in some ways of the daughter character from the Irishman who exists kind of mostly as a gaze like there's all this stuff happening and then something crazy goes down and you can tell just by looking at her face she's seeing it for what it really is.
