John's Sale Hammer - The Most Significant Commentary on the Pentateuch
John's sale hammer is a commentary on the Pentateuch. He points out some things in the shape of the book of Genesis that are really significant for understanding how it works. The whole story begins with Joseph having these dreams that all of the brothers are going to come and bow down to him. But right as the Joseph's story is beginning is a very strange story about another son of Jacob, one of Joseph's brothers called Judah. And so what Simeon points out is that this is the author of Genesis's way of showing you that the story of Joseph is actually about the line of Judah.
