Playing With Your Child

A lot of times children feel especially very young children, they notice that unless they're getting the parent to play with them, their parent is putting their attention elsewhere. To sometimes give those periods where playing with your child looks a little different and that looks more like you're just there,. You're just interested in what your child's doing. Giving them those moments can be very, very powerful. Knowing them that anything that they do is kind of interesting and worthwhile also that doesn't have to be fancy stuff that looks like imaginary characters or a game or a board game. It can just be somebody puttering around or sitting there and looking out the window, just being together.
