Heather McDonald: In the wake of George Floyd's death, all of the major institutions of American society and culture have embraced the view that the only way to reckon with would of course exist is systemic racism. "We must put diversity and the needs of diversity ahead of every single other expectation in our world," she says. No standard is more important of a metric than to measure our civilization by that of diversity because diversity is our strength, no matter the consequences.
