The Mistakes Protective Parts Make in Interpreting Trauma

The way Mike Elkin said it was just so direct, and I've never been this direct in saying it. It's as straightforward as saying with so much love and so much compassion, our protective parts have made a mistaken meaning that something is really wrong. So if somebody in your external trauma ecosystem projects something on you, they do not have access to self-energy. They're not in self-leadership. They project shame on an older version of you. They project a moral judgment inferring something negative about the motivations behind your behavior That is an inference. And now the protective part that's protecting that wounded, younger part or sets of wounded, younger parts, older versions of you
