There's less of an incentive for investors to put their money into spinouts because founders don't own enough of the company. Almost like two thirds of companies spinouts take over six months to get a deal done. In general in the UK you see take rates of on average of 25% from the get-go and in continental Europe you see also kind of tenish which is largely dragged down by certain countries that give automatic write over IP to inventors so by default they take zero.
