The Risk Factors for Premature Children With Chronic Lung Disease
Justational age is definitely the number one risk factor. Postnatally there's a lot of risk factors too. Kids on prolonged mechanical ventilation are going to be at high interest for BPD, particularly kids who need it for more than seven days of life. The trend in neonatology over the last two decades has really been to move towards noninvasive ventilation whenever possible.
