The Differences Between Mangroves and Rainforests

Mangroves store huge amounts of carbon in their soil and below ground. They're like a bog or a peat swamp where essentially what happens is we have dead trees fall over. It all gets caught in the mangroves and it becomes this really dense carbon-rich soil. And that adds to it having a really high carbon stock per unit area.
