Headache - What's the Right Way to Diagnose a Headache?
There's often a set of red flags, the rapidity of onset of headache. Even your gut feeling about someone who has headache often rings true or something just doesn't ring a bell. The harder situation is when someone has an established history of migraine and they have headaches episodically already. There isn't great evidence for who should get a scan in such a circumstance but unfortunately people with migraines have a higher risk of having additional secondary headache disorders like cervical artery dissection if someone's pregnant or postpartum or stroke.
