She's also been a fellow at the German Marshall Fund in Britain for the Washington Post and other publications. We talked about the elections in Turkey trying to understand why it is that resident Erdogan was reelected despite the weakness in the Turkish economy, despite the government's bungled response to the devastating earthquake earlier this year. And we discussed the reasons for the weakness of democracy in the Muslim world and its likely future.
