The Paradox of Apocalypse
The idea of casting our speculative minds so far into the future that we're thinking about a deeply, well, at this stage imaginary extinction event. It seems sort of paradoxical, but I think to talk about the future well, you have to be doing history. We should be looking into that past and using it to kind of nuance and politicize the definitions of something like existential risk.
