The Significance of the Hiroshima G7 for Global Rules Making

Japan has been a member of G7 from the very beginning in 1975 with G6. Since Japan is not a prominent member of the UN Security Council, G7 has been a valuable multilateral venue for Japan. I trust Japan will lead G7 efforts and beyond on pressing issues emerging challenges. Multilateralism today demands Solidality among like-minded or similar-minded members as argued in 2022 UNDP special report on human security. New threats to human security in Anthropocene demanding greater Solidality.
