Is Grendel's Mother a Water Monster?
In the book of Enoch, daughters of men who interbreed in this way are turned into sirens. A siren as it was understood by people in the English accent world is a water monster. This is probably related to like the, the Hebrew word that's associated with Lilith. So if Grendel is associated with the Old Testament giants, we would sort of maybe reasonably expect that his mother's going to be associated with like the daughters of men, right? Mm hmm.
