The Art on Sal Chicago - I Love the Organ Trio

All the, all the jas history books i grew up with, none of them ever mentioned the organ trio. That was more or less invented by jimmy smith in the fifties. And then all the major cities in america, in the black communities, had their organ rooms up until about 19 80. It wasn't just the blues, it was also jaz standards and the famous jaz compositions played at a really high level. I'm not trying to take down the art on som of chicago here. But i'm aware that there's this catastrophic silence in terms of whatever working class black people were getting up to in the trenches with their jaz music.
