"I can't possibly compete with my past and I have no desire to nor with whoever the pop stars of 2021 or 2022. It's still work that has meaning," he said. "At 61, most people are thinking about retiring and as an artist, I can't retire." He added: "It's not at all I'm looking at the span of my life and ... want to do a whole lot more"
