The Evolution of Moral Foundations
It started as a very kind of top down. Was it theoretical and thinking, okay, well, we're working somewhat out of an evolutionary framework? What would be adaptive or was it more empirical? So something like loyalty, like, oh, it makes sense that we would care a lot about loyalty, because that was really important for our survival. And so then we started to think more about liberty as maybe that's a sort of moral concern in and of itself. But I'm not totally convinced that it's a moral concern.
