Pastoral Ministry - The Shepherd
In contrast to jewish leaders and the pharisees, the biblical imagery of the shepherd is fair deeply rooted within the text. Jesus here describes himself as the true for the sheep in chapter six,. jesus leads a large multitude out like a flock across the sea and provides them with food. We need to measure our concepts of pastoral ministry against biblical models.
