Tobler's eyes are like shrivelled raisins, atrophied from lack of use. A voice tells him nice things. We're linking to your visual systems. Now, open your eyes. Tobler opens his eyes and sees the city,. The city a thousand clicks across, hanging in the nothing like a vast bauble, radiant with silver light against the darkness of the void, a city. He could imagine worse. And so it's not an unreasonable response to simply surrender, to let it all be ok, and to trust that there is another side that we will come out of.
