Lysander Lowly and the Athenians

When lysander arrived, he prepared to make a final assault. The samian democrats in control of the city surrendered as they likely received news that the athenians themselves had capitulated too. In return for their surrender, they were allow to depart safely from samos but with only one cloak,. All their other possessions remained behind and were handed over to the spartan army. Lysander then turned control of theCity and everything in it over to samos pro oligarchic citizens who had been exiled.
