The History of Enron
HNG InterNorth began divesting itself of businesses that did not fit in its long-term goals. Kenneth L. Lay founded Enron through this merger in 1985. Jeff Skilling envisioned a new trading model for the company in 1988. In 1992, Enron was the largest merchant of natural gas in North America.
