The program set by Beethoven was in two parts with an intermission in between. The soloist for the evening was a 17-year-old soprano Josephine Scholzkalchitsky. She was a last-minute replacement because the original soloist had quit because Beethoven insulted her, which he was known to do. That was just the first half of the concert, and that would be a full performance for most professional orchestras today.
