There are people who just don't care about racism because they think that it doesn't affect them or for anything it gives them more status and power in society. And I think there are a number of factors that contribute to that huge blind spot that so many white people in America seem to have. One is, you know, this illusion that exceptions create, that people see as evidence of disproving the rule. How could we have racism if we have a black president? It's one of the things that just baffles my mind when I know that that's true.
