The Ethics of Using GPT as an Assistant
GPT is as good as an expert on subjects that it is just picking up as you ask it about it. It's at this point of foregone and conclusion that the most many of the early use cases that are going to get very popular are going to be managing this AI in your workspace or something like that. And that raises an interesting question for me because we are also teaching our students using this thing to write as a writing assistant is unethical. That's cheating. Is this a problem? Like, are we setting up students to not have the skillset they need in order to be like really good writers? Should they be training them on GPT as an assistant at this point?
