Most Jews who went to Hebrew school, maybe got a bar mitzvah are probably engaged. They're not a, you know, you wouldn't call them assimilated. It's like the new normal. And yet American Jewry is so comparatively illiterate in the literature in the textual tradition of our people. I want to push back a little bit because I totally agree with your description. Most Jews and I include family friends within this could be described that way. But they never feel that absence. Never feel that sense of being Jewishly illiterate.
