The Legend of Eddie Rickenbacher
Eddie Rickenbacher was a fighter pilot in World War I. He never crashed during the war, but he would be in three crashes after the war. His greatest adventure is to deliver a message to General Douglas MacArthur. The plane gets off course and then loses its engines; they ditched it miles from any semblance of land. It took an hour to extricate him from the wreckage.
