Introduction

Ben Ocri became the first black African writer to win a Booker Prize in 1991. In June of 2017, just after news broke of the tragic fire at Grenfell Tower, he got an unusual phone call. Ben and Alec Russell have worked together on a number of projects since then. They stopped by on Alec's very last day as editor of FD Weekend. Today they talk about what fiction and nonfiction can teach each other.
