I think we can sometimes get a little bit blinded to the seedier aspects of the game and how it operates. I was really struck in the week by this tweet from Tarek Panger, which is journalist at the New York Times. He wrote that for all our sense that something is wrong with the game, it might be us. Maybe the younger generation are all in on state backed super teams, top clubs hoarding best talent and lopsided games. And I don't know. But as older fans, we probably have to be mindful that our sort of gut reaction to the way the game is going may not be a universally held opinion.
