i wonder if you wanted to deliberately push against our traditional view of what nature writing might be. I think i certainly wanted to draw attention to the fact that nature isn't something you have to go out and find, that it's all around us in the city. A lot of wild life, like mammals, like foxes and racoons, are doing much better in cities than they are out in rural places. So just being alert to these things is very fruitful and pleasing to me.
