Mumford's Poem
Mumford TV writer at the time working on mash, he was one of a small number of black TV screen writers. He and Basquiat hit it off as being like young black creatives. They have a friendship and they decide to mark their friendship, they exchange paint and he writes a poem. The new owner claims Mumford told him that he wrote the poem in 1982 to serve as a receipt for the purchase is with the new owner claims.
