The Competitive Advantage of Generalization

A lot of the advantage right now that accrues to generalists is because you know a lot of people who could and probably should be broader are not. I don't think we have to worry about that yet although someone did tag me in a tweet recently that was some some company put out a report just sort of like wisdom for work or something. There's a good chance you'll succeed if you have a variety of interests and skills rather than one thing that gets automated for example but another might just be well it's a more fulfilling sort of powerful life to do something that nobody else can do.
