What Is a Stochastic Parrot?

The chat client, its main feature is that it appears to have a sense of state. It appears to remember what has transpired and answer a follow up question. That is also a mirage. And it's sort of just like guessing the next word of a sentence. Yeah. They're in it's made by a company called OpenAI. But it's not an AI. There are others, but I'll leave it at that. Well, so this gets to very much how it works, which we should also just touch on briefly.
