There's no question that these companies are bloated. They dramatically over-hired. And if the stock price is going up, they're just cutting to juice the stock price. Apple has done such a good job of maintaining stock price performance with buybacks and metrics. For this Google, Microsoft didn't need to do it either. The optics become too great.
