The Art of Vincent and Theo - A Review
Gauguin was a terrible human being, just as Vincent is ultimately lovable. The characters and temperaments of the two artists are polar opposites. Just as Vincent is troubled and severely lacking in self-esteem, Gauguin is supremely confident to the point of arrogance. As great as the art was, and it was spectacularly good, you read about the way he treated his wife, and the how he treated his children.
