The Risks of a Nuclear Accident Are Significant

The risks of a major nuclear accident are significant, but they're no larger than the risk of a major dam break on a hydroelectric dam. On the other hand, we seem to take willingly the risk of 9 million deaths a year from the steady burning of fossil fuels. So I do think it's a different risk profile. And how if at all do these dynamics change if there is improvements in specifically in the US, the electric grid and ability to store electricity? Do those things have an impact? Yes.
