Freeman Dyson's radical intellectual independence was not merely a manifestation of the self-developing character of the universe. For that to take place will need many more independent minds, as Dyson himself put it, we need more heretics - young ones especially. And for that we'll need nothing less than a revolution in education, because you don't get Freeman Dyson's from an educational system designed to produce conformity with the status quo.
