The Importance of Language Obsession

The idea that symbol and signified are identical is idiotic. Ursula K. Le Guin has a little bit of language obsession sometimes. We can't know what an alien being, a non-human being would talk like. So basically, if you actually want to do an alien mentality, it might be just a good idea to experiment with these sorts of things.
