A lot of people responded to that environment by getting essentially paralyzed and then rewriting in a style in which everything read the same as everything else. And so i would argue, when you have access to multiple streams of advice, it can get confusing. That's when you really have to sharpen your own ability to say, ok, i'm going to throw out 80 % of that and go with what i think resonates.
