A Foreign Domain Is What Stirs Up Desire and Arousing Desire

Present moment awareness is an acceptance of what is. It stands in contrast to longing and discontent that is wishing for things, including ourselves, to be other than what they are. The parable of the hawk and the quail illustrates perfectly the statement that yung makes in the letter i quoted earlier. If we don't have at least some sense of our wholeness, imperfect as it may be, we run the risk of identifying our being and our worth with some partial aspect of ourselves. Wanting to be better or more intelligent than one is is power too.
