How to Mask Ventilate a Well Patient
It depends a little bit on the effectiveness of your ventilation. It also depends on how well the child is. So peep, pip, eye time, and rate are really important in how we mask ventilate. When you ventilate these kids to recruit your alveoli and to prevent loss of FRC, you are never going to let your hand off of that bag. You're going to maintain some peep the whole time. And your rate, you need to really consciously make it much faster than you would think you should.
