The Importance of Autism in Girls

Research suggests the diagnostic criteria for autism may not accurately capture the presentation of symptoms in girls. Autistic women, they can face many different barriers, gender related. So I guess there's those barriers to diagnosis due to the social and cultural expectations that we talked about around women. It leads to misdiagnosis and underdiagnosis.
