i was raised by the most interesting woman in the world, as far as i'm concerned. My mother had no problem saying that if something did not make sense - even if it was an ancient belief system. I never knew ik words like sin, never heard it. It just wasn't a thing. Were shame nd guilt wern't sort of elements of our lives? Our voices and our ability to express ourselves were of the utmost importance,. Even if it meant disagreeing with the parent's right? So if my mother said something that disagreed with, i was totally able to say, 'I think you're wrong'
