The Importance of Control Conditions in CBT Research

This chapter explores the importance of utilizing diverse control conditions in cognitive behavioral therapy research, moving beyond traditional waitlist groups. It argues that a better understanding of treatment efficacy can be achieved by improving research methodologies, especially in the context of anxiety disorders, PTSD, OCD, and eating disorders.
