Isaac Was Univesally Chosen by Virtue of God's Promise, and That's What I'm Saying
i think it's conflating god's choice of the seed through which the promise would be fulfilled and the choice of those he would save. And so isaac can be chosen for two different purposes. He was not chosen to be that person based upon his morality, as if he's more deserving than some other person he could have used. Ga, but that as that, as that is separate rom his choice to save somebody by grace, through faith. That's why our perspectives can sound very similar unless we get into the knitty gritty with regard to how one comes to be a believer in christ.
