What Happened to the Back Side of the Meteor?

As the meteor is coming down, the air pressure gets become so high that it actually dramatically increases the heat on the front side. The back side of the meteor, however, did not get as hot and was not anywhere nearly as affected by the heat as the other parts of the meteor. And then after they entered that vacuum space, they fell down to the ground, like straight, like they d celerated and fell down pretty much at regular speed.
